Installation & Base Prep
Screeding
Screeding is the process of dragging a straight rail or pipe across the bedding sand to level it to a precise, uniform thickness before pavers are set. It's typically the last step before placement, and any unevenness left in the screed telegraphs directly into the finished surface.
Why This Matters to You
A rushed screeding step is one of the few installation mistakes that shows up immediately as a visibly uneven surface, rather than months later — a good sign if a crew takes real time here.
