Permeable Paver
A permeable paver system uses specially spaced units over a graded, open aggregate base to let rainwater drain through the surface into the ground below, instead of running off. The joints — typically filled with small aggregate rather than polymeric sand — are what let water pass through.
Why This Matters to You
On a property where standing water or runoff is already a problem, a permeable surface can reduce puddling without the added grading and piping a fully solid surface would need.
